This is a topic that raised too much debate among Christians. This belief was held by fundamental baptist and some other christian denominations but most disagree with this belief. I too believe in what they called Once Saved Always Saved.
I believed in God's promises, I believed in His eternal security, I believed in God's saving power. When I said I am saved, I am saved forever more.
Many will disagree to me and even challenge me to some debate. Many will call me a devil's follower but Matthew 7:16 said "Ye shall know them by their fruits."
Now you may think that because I am already saved forever you may say that I can continue to live a life of sin after confessing that I am saved. Man you're very wrong on what you are thinking there's too much difference in the one that is TRULY saved and the one who just is saying he is saved. When you are truly saved there are some changes as the bible said in 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Old things are passed away, if this old things are still on your way think about it are you truly saved by faith?
Salvation is not an enduring process in life but it is an event time. As the bible said that we must BORN AGAIN as stated in John 3:3 "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.", certainly it is a one certain time event unless you want to be BORN AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN, since being born again is a must and you believe that your salvation can be lost then you need to born again hereby will lead to repeating "born again process". Your first birth on flesh happened in one certain time, so does your second birth on the spirit. You cannot fake your physical birth, certainly you cannot fake your spiritual birth, and you cannot fake your faith before God. You will not truly be born again unless you have the genuine faith. Can you "negate" your physical birth and turn back in the womb? Then how can you negate you spiritual birth, unless you are a reprobate and is not born again in the first place.
Once you are born again spiritually you become a child of God as written in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." And in Romans 8:15 "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." You already belong to God's family once you are saved by God you are already adopted child of God.God promised to His "sons" that nothing can separate us from Him and that Jesus said he will never leave us nor forsake us. In John 10:29 "My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand" and in Hebrews 13:5 "...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
In Hebrews 10:10,14 "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE FOR ALL. . . For by one offering he hath PERFECTED FOR EVER them that are sanctified." We are perfected forever by God. God will never saved you in the first place if you don't have the genuine faith and know that you will go wrong after some times.
A genuine faith will lead to genuine salvation, if you are truly saved you are saved forever. If the one that you encounter said that he is saved already but continue to do sin there's something wrong right? And who are the one that is washed by the blood of the lamb will ever want to be dirty again by sin? Yes it's true sometimes we still sin but it is different issue if we sin WILLFULLY.
Once you are born again spiritually — God becomes your Father — nothing or nobody can change that! Your fellowship may be broken, but your relationship can never be broken! (av1611.org)
So this once saved always saved principle is ONLY applicable to one that is TRULY been SAVED by GOD through FAITH, because God promised and certainly He will fulfill his promises. For without faith we cannot please God and whatsoever is not of faith is SIN. (Hebrews 11:6, Romans 14:23). So where is your faith, in yourself or in God?
